Planning a wedding in Savannah means saying yes to timeless romance—cobblestone streets, Spanish moss, and the soft glow of southern light. But beyond the pretty backdrop, you need a photographer who will make you feel at ease, capture the joy, and gently guide you without turning your wedding into a photoshoot.

I’m Tracy Townsend, a true-to-color wedding photographer serving Savannah and beyond. If you're craving relaxed photos filled with real emotion and Southern charm, I’d be honored to be by your side.

Every time I photograph in Savannah, I’m struck by how magical it feels. It’s a city that invites you to slow down, soak in the moment, and fall even more in love. The oak trees, historic buildings, quiet parks—this city wraps your wedding in charm.

What I love most, though, are the couples who choose Savannah. They’re thoughtful, intentional, often drawn to legacy and history. They care about the experience as much as the outcome. That’s my kind of couple. I’m here to capture your day in a way that’s classic, beautiful, and unmistakably you.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings in Savannah

I believe your photos should look like you, feel like you, and last for generations. My editing is clean and classic: no orange skin tones or moody filters here. Instead, I focus on natural colors, soft light, and the emotion behind each frame.

I aim to be a grounding presence, especially during hectic moments, so you can feel present and peaceful on your day. My editing style is true to life: classic, vibrant, and never overly filtered so your photos feel timeless, not trendy. Years from now, I want you to look back and feel like you're reliving your wedding, exactly as it was.

My Style: Timeless & True-to-Color

I recommend booking at least 9–12 months in advance, especially for spring and fall weddings in St. Augustine. Some dates fill quickly!

How far in advance should we book?

Florida weather can shift quickly, but I’m always prepared. If it’s safe and photogenic, we go with it. If not, I’ll help adjust your timeline or reschedule as needed. Some of the best light comes after a little rain!

What if the weather is unpredictable?

Absolutely. I gently guide you through every part of your session so you never feel awkward. Most couples tell me it feels like hanging out with a friend—and that’s the goal.
